This site and it's forum we created in response to the trials and tribulations that I and many of my peers have experienced as we advanced in our careers.
In the late 80's and early 90's, market and economic forces created fierce competition for very scarce jobs in the various sectors of aviation. It was not uncommon for newly licensed pilots and technicians to be competing against experienced and seasoned professional who should have otherwise been their career resources. It was therefore, very difficult to attain unbiased development information, free career guidance or access to insight that might have given one some token of career advantage. The maxim still holds true today - knowledge is power. To that end, I hope aspiring professionals will empower themselves by utilizing the resources and professional experiences available here for their own growth and for the betterment of the industry as a whole.
It is also my intention to facilitate that growth and access to information without encumbrance. It is not however, without obligation, I do ask this of protégés:
